The CRP-5 is manufactured to the exacting standards demanded by commercial pilot training organisations to give a lifetime's performance.
Designed particularly for the professional pilot, it includes all necessary functions for the Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot examinations.
Circular Slide Rule Side: incorporates a clear durable cursor. For calculation and conversion of temperature, time, distance, volume, altitude, speed, weight, fuel, endurance, multiplication and division, 1 in 60 rule, compressibility correction etc. Coloured scales and lettering enhance operation and clarity.
Wind Triangle Side: incorporates a sliding scale with speed range of 40-1000 and measuring scales on outside edges of 1:500,000 NM, 1:250,000 NM, Inches and mm. Clear rotating disc for lead pencil plotting. For calculation of heading and groundspeed, wind velocity, head and crosswind components etc.
The CRP-5 Computer is recommended for use by commercial flying training organisations throughout the world and in constant use by practising airline pilots. It's larger format offers greater accuracy, a compressibility scale, a higher speed range and all the scales and functions required for Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot examinations.

A 'CRP-5W' MODEL IS AVAILABLE INCORPORATING A CLEAR ROTATING PLASTIC 'WIND ARM' ON THE 'WIND TRIANGLE SIDE' WHICH PREVENTS THE NECESSITY OF PLOTTING WITH A PENCIL ON THE CLEAR ROTATING DISC.
THE CRP-5W MODEL IS NOT NORMALLY USED HOWEVER IN EXAMINATIONS OR TRAINING FOR THE JAR AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENCE COURSE.
