The TRON 1E MKII is a hand-held floating Emergency Locator Transmitter Beacon by Jotron.
It transmits on the aircraft and regional mode SARSAT/COSPAS freq. 121.5 MHz and is in use worldwide with aircraft operators.

Compact, lightweight and powerful, it is the perfect Emergency Locator Beacon for use with general aviation aircraft when crossing water or remote terrain.

The 'TRON 1E Emergency Locator Radio Beacon' provides safety and the best chance of an early rescue at sea by transmitting on the aircraft and regional mode SARSAT/COSPAS frequency 121.5Mhz.

It will endure storage temperatures from +40deg C. to + 70deg C.
Contained within a strong die-cast aluminium case with gasket protected removable ABS end caps for battery replacements.
A bulkhead mounting bracket is provided.
Fitted with a rugged flexible helical antenna.

Measures 60mm x 30mm x 170mm (with extended antenna 330mm)
Weighs 260g.

TYPICAL ENDURANCE: 24 hours at full spec. at+20deg.C
CODING: Transmission of vessel name or other information incoporated by Eprom.
BATTERY: 3V high energy lithium battery - single cell. Storage life up to 10 years. Recommended exchange 5 years.
TEST FACILITY: Full electronic performance test facility provided with flashing LED indicator.
SAFEGUARD CAPABILITY: A battery isolation switch is provided to ensure safety against inadvertant operation.

Don't forget - ditching in the water with only lifejackets or a liferaft but without an ELT Beacon is only a good way of dying slowly!
