The IC-A24 is a new generation handheld transceiver following from the hugely successful A-22 model.
It incorporates a full aviation frequency range transmit & receive facility, VOR navigation capability, plus more new features including a channel recall function for the last ten most recently used channels, a dedicated emergency frequency key and the ability to use the transceiver whilst it is charging from an external power source.
Usability has been a top priority in the design, with a larger alphanumeric LCD display for easier reading in the cockpit. A large, easy to use keypad has been incorporated for fast frequency entry. Both the display and keypad are backlit making the unit easier to use during night flying operations.
